Effective as of 1 September 2010, Swiss-based private bank LB(Swiss) Privatbank AG – a wholly owned subsidiary of Germany’s Landesbank Hessen Thüringen (Helaba) – has restructured its range of services in the private banking, wealth management and portfolio management segments.
Within the framework of the German Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe – one of the largest financial groups in the world – LB(Swiss) Privatbank AG in recent years has become the central provider of private banking and wealth management solutions. As a further means of resolutely pursuing this course, LB(Swiss) acquired in early August 2010 a 100 percent financial interest in the tradition-rich Frankfurt private bank “Frankfurter Bankgesellschaft”, which was established in 1899. In conjunction with this takeover of Frankfurter Bankgesellschaft, LB(Swiss) Privatbank AG decided to adopt that name for all of its operating units.
Going forward, the newly conglomerated private bank, with offices
in Zurich and Frankfurt, will do business under the name: Frankfurter
Bankgesellschaft.
