SA was formed on 19 March 2005 when the Crédit Lyonnais (Suisse) SA
and the Crédit Agricole Indosuez (Suisse) SA merged together. Established
in Switzerland for more than 130 years, Crédit Agricole (Suisse) SA has
become an important player on the Swiss Private Banking stage.
Crédit
Agricole (Suisse) SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Calyon, Crédit Agricole
Group’s corporate and investment banking arm, is the Group’s main centre
of private banking expertise and one of its leading international operations.
A seven-year period featuring numerous acquisitions has enabled Crédit
Agricole (Suisse) to strengthen its position to become the third-largest foreign
bank in Switzerland in terms of assets under management, total assets, shareholders’
equity and net profit (source: Association of Foreign Banks in Switzerland, 2006).
With around CHF 52 billion assets under management and more than 1'100 employees
at the end of 2006, the Bank’s key business is Private Banking. It is also
very active in Transactional Commodity Finance and Capital Markets.
